Eagle Family Reunion? Bald Eagle Sightings Heat Up in Big Bear 🦅

After nearly two weeks of quiet, Big Bear’s eagle cam is buzzing with activity again. Recent sightings suggest a potential family reunion between Jackie, Shadow, and at least one juvenile—possibly one of their 2025 fledglings, Sunny or Gizmo.

It began with quiet visits from one adult, likely Shadow, and escalated when multiple immature eagles (likely hatched in 2023 or 2024) appeared on the Roost Tree. Days later, both Jackie and Shadow were confirmed on camera at the same time for the first time since July, filling the air with their unmistakable chortles.

Most exciting of all? A juvenile eagle was seen flying in to join them, resting on the branches near Jackie and Shadow and even following them from perch to perch. Though we can’t confirm the ID, many eagle fans believe this visitor could be Gizmo, based on behavior and beak shape.
