Jackie & Shadow Make It Official: Nesting Season Prep Has Begun! 🦅🪵

Big news from the nest—Jackie and Shadow both dropped into their longtime home this morning, and the signs couldn’t be clearer: nesting season prep is officially underway!

Shadow arrived first (with a slightly clumsy landing thanks to strong winds), quickly hopping into the nest for an inspection. Moments later, Jackie followed, and the size difference between them—especially in side-by-side moments like this—was as striking as ever.

Together, they moved a few sticks, fluffed the nest bowl, and stood surveying their messy but beloved space, sunlight glinting off their freshly molted feathers. Then came the moment we’ve all been waiting for...

This afternoon, Shadow delivered the first stick of the season. 🪵
