Welcome to the World, Big Bear Eaglets - Sunny and Gizmo! 🦅✨

History has been made in Big Bear Valley—Jackie and Shadow’s final egg has hatched, and we officially have eagle triplets! 🎉 These tiny, yet mighty eaglets have broken through their shells, marking the beginning of an incredible new chapter for one of the most beloved bald eagle families in California.

For weeks, we’ve watched Jackie and Shadow care for their eggs with unwavering dedication, keeping them warm and protected through the unpredictable mountain weather. Now, with all three chicks safely hatched, we celebrate the arrival of Big Bear’s newest feathered stars!

Meet Big Bear’s Newest Eagles: Sunny and Gizmo!

These two eaglets may be small now, but in just a few months, they will grow into strong, independent raptors ready to take on the skies. Here’s what to expect in the coming weeks:
🦅 Sibling Bonding – These eaglets will quickly learn how to interact, snuggle for warmth, and even engage in playful squabbles as they grow.
🦅 First Feedings – Shadow will bring fresh fish to the nest, while Jackie carefully feeds their hungry chicks bite by bite.
🦅 Growing Stronger Every Day – In just a few weeks, their fluffy down will be replaced by stronger feathers, fledge watch, preparing them for their first steps toward first flight.

A Rare and Special Moment

Bald eagle triplets are incredibly rare, making this hatching even more exciting. Seeing three eaglets thrive under the care of Jackie and Shadow is a testament to the strength and resilience of these majestic birds. Their journey—from tiny hatchlings to soaring raptors—will be nothing short of spectacular.
